Youth Water Leadership Program™ Director

Beginning in 2017, we created and founded the Youth Water Leadership Program with the signature Healthy Rivers Youth Water Summit in Carbondale, Colorado. The program is built on student-driven learning, dialogue, and action.

Communications Director
Sarah built and strengthened the the communications infrastructure at St. Vincent and St. Mary of the Crown Churches from August 2015 through July 2019. This included rebuilding the parish website, managing the branding, establishing regular email communications to parishioners, setting up online giving, fundraising campaigns, working with staff to update the parishioner database and photo directory, and facilitating the development of a bilingual weekly bulletin. See more.

Naturalist Night Coordinator

From 2015 to 2020 Sarah coordinated the Naturalist Night winter speaker series. During the 10 week series each winter she has brought influential leading scientists, researchers, naturalists, and local experts to the community. She has streamlined the planning and programing for the three-way organizational partnership making it efficient and simple to implement each year. 
Biodiversity Project Manager
Beginning in 2015, Wild Rose Education has worked with Colorado State University's Colorado Natural Heritage Program to conduct ecological studies on private lands in Garfield County Colorado. In addition to building many relationships for the property and project, we have established a long-term ecological monitoring site and conducted a baseline biological survey during a bioblitz in June 2016 and a 2nd annual bioblitz in June 2017.

Water Educator Network Coordinator
Sarah coordinated the Colorado Foundation for Water Education's Water Educator Network (WEN) from February 2016-June 2017. She conducted workshops, trainings, connected members to water education best practices and exemplary resources, served as a hub for water education leaders in Colorado, and had a lot of fun while doing so.

​Community Forum Series

During these August 2017 free KDNK member only deliberative forums participants weighed options, listened to understand, expanded democratic attitudes around climate, water, and energy, built relationships, and increased their civic capacity.  The Environmental Issues Forum guides from the North American Association for Environmental Education were used for the forums.
