Summer Institute for Climate Change Education

Join Climate Generation, and the NOAA Climate Office virtually this July 18-21 at the Summer Institute for Climate Change Education. Gain the skills to bring climate change into your educational setting, whether it be a classroom, nature center, or museum.
Be part of a regional learning community cohort lead by Wild Rose Education for participants from the Southwestern USA Colorado River Basin.

Curiosity and Wonder Project Workshops

Rediscover the magic of curiosity and wonder for yourself while also learning teaching practices to engage students of all ages in exploration, discovery, journaling (science drawings), and discussion while teaching outside in the school yard and beyond.  Through outdoor explorations you will participate in making observations, field journaling, questioning strategies, teaching and learning, and promoting discussion professional learning modules.

Who Gets to Tell the Story of Water?
Interdisciplinary High School Teacher Hybrid Workshop 

 Explore how stories of water in Colorado have been told and how to create a more equitable future, all while incorporating water equity into your classroom. Become part of water educator community, receive $300 stipend, 25 CEU hours, and have some fun!

Public Lands of the USA Course

Expand your knowledge of public lands in America. Through virtual asynchronous learning gain a stronger understanding of federal land designations, history of these lands, and the context in which these places were protected. Optional graduate credit available.
