High School Youth Participants
Colorado high school youth are invited to participate in the full 2 day Youth Climate Summit. Youth can attend on their own, in groups of friends, small clubs, school classes, or other groups.

An adult chaperone is required to accompany all high school youth; 1 chaperone: 6 youth

Youth Opportunity Expo Presenters
What is an Opportunity Expo?
The Opportunity Expo, held concurrently with the Youth Climate Summit on Friday, provides exposure to summer programs focusing on natural resources and STEM leadership for young individuals. It also highlights green skills, pathways to environmental science and sustainability university programs, as well as careers in climate resilience.

Engaging Interactive 45-60 Minute Workshops

Youth and adult community leaders and educators are invited to facilitate mini-workshops during the first day of the Youth Climate Summit. The workshops will be hands-on interactive engaging actionable activities that increase participants climate literacy.

Institutional composting - how to make it happen in your
school or organization -
Climate Poetry/Slam Poetry/Music

Keynote Speakers and Presenters

There are 3-4 opportunities throughout the Summit on Friday and Saturday for plenary presentations and keynotes by dynamic engaging youth and adult climate solution leaders. These plenary sessions are 20-45 minutes long and will engage up to 100 Summit participants.

Policy Makers & Community Leaders
Elected Officials and Community Leaders
Lunch
Local, regional, state, and federal policy makers (elected officials, staff, board members, etc.) and community leaders are invited to the Youth Summit Policy Discussion Lunch on Saturday, May 3 from 11:45am - 1:30pm.

Policy makers will introduce themselves to all the
participants and then will have informal lunch
conversations with youth at small tables. The youth will be
sharing their Climate Action Plans through informal
discussions over lunch.

Educators, Collaborators, Chaperones
All adults need to register
Thank you for supporting youth to attend the Colorado Youth Climate Summit.
Every group of youth requires a chaperone (6:1) youth/adult ratio). Chaperone are expected to be present at the Summit venue, Third Street Center and stay overnight with the youth at Roaring Fork High School.
Collaborators (CO State folks, Earth Force, etc.) are also required to register.

In order to ensure everyone is fed well and taken care of, please complete the registration process.

The Colorado Youth Climate Summit will be successful with the support of local volunteers assisting with a variety of tasks:
