WRE Director Sarah Johnson joins the 4th annual Collective Alaska Native Perspectives training in Homer. A collaborator on the LEDKA ONR grant, Sarah is deepening the project's commitment to weaving Indigenous wisdom with Western science. Building on previous Utqiaġvik research and the Float Your Boat project, WRE is expanding its Arctic expertise into the sub-arctic to support community resilience and equity across North America.

LEKDA (Local Ecological Knowledge + Data = Action) empowers Alaska’s youth by weaving Alutiiq/Sugpiaq wisdom with marine science. Moving students from observation to action, Wild Rose Education (WRE) is a core collaborator.
